Europarc's profile as the region's leading Business Park has been further enhanced with the opening of the £5.7m Humber Seafood Institute.

Celebrity Chef Antony Worrall Thompson and Grimsby MP the Rt Hon Austin Mitchell proudly opened the multi million pound institute earlier this year in front of 150 guests at an event which championed the belief that Grimsby is set to become a world leader in fish processing.

This ground breaking research centre offers a multifaceted complex of laboratories, pliot plant, incubator units and offices, development kitchens and product testing resource. The findal building, constructed by Elsham based Havercroft Construction extends to 34,500 sqft.

Supporting seafood and seafood logistic companies

This flagship building and it's location on Europarc is the realisation of several years of hard work and planning by all those involved. The centre, developed by Wykeland, is funded by Yorkshire Forward, the European Regional Devlopment Fund and North East Lincolnshire Council. It will support seafood and seafood logistic companies enabling them to trial new and diverse products to compete in new markets.
